Still need music for Easter Bonus

Hi all,

I still need some mellow in-game music for Easter Bonus. Does anyone have any suitable music kicking around they'd care to post or email me? Needs to be loopable around the 1 minute mark to keep the file size down. I'll turn it into ogg in the end, unless it's in a module format, then I'll use as is.

Failing that, can anyone recommend any royalty free/totally free music sites?

I found a wicked site and am currently downloading tons of free music. Hopefully there is something I can use.

Here's a loop I composed about a year ago that was originally for RPG town/city ambience. It's all your's if you want it... just toss me some cred. The pizzicato kicks about halfway through and should blend in well with a puzzle game. Let me know when you make a decision so I can delete the link if need be. It's a minute over your desired mark but could be easily cut in half with good results.

[edit] wow, great piece of music. My title music is classical too. It would be the second half that I could possibly use - you were correct. The only thing is it may not be upbeat enough for in-game music. If I didn't alreayd have title and game over music, it would be great for that. I'll play it to my partner who helps me make these sorta decisions and get back to you. But anyway, thanks for letting me it hear it. I appreciate your effort. Any more?

if you're looking for something to match the other tunes, then i'd have to hear them to produce you something that would fit.

MarkD: OK cool, can't 100% guarantee I'll use it of course, but it'd sure be nice to hear what you make.

CS_TBL: Well sorta. I downloaded some free music yesterday that might be great and Cygnus has come up with a good piece for me too. I really need 5 pieces and I have 2ish + some good possibilities from the free ones. However, if you have something you think might fit the bill, please let me hear it. Only thing is I really don't have a decent budget for music, as I've reinvested the Xmas Bonus money in graphics. Certainly I can give away a free copy of the game worth $19.99 and possibly sort out a small sweetner too, but regretably I can't pay top dollar, and I know you are a pro. Hope you understand.

Nice shots there Grey Alien, I have to say that the graphics look alot better than Xmas bonus and to me feel alot more colourful looking. Hope the game does well for you :)

Thanks Joncom. I've spent a long time working on the graphics with an artist so I'm glad everyone things it looks better.

MarkD: Nice track thanks, well made, very suitable for a game. But may not be suitable for Easter Bonus I'm afraid. It's not "positive" enough for the cutesy graphics that's all. As a side note maybe the drum track is a touch too loud for a casual game as well ... maybe. Also around the 2/3rds mark is a sort fo grindy synth/pad noise in the background (could be the result of too many sounds on my speakers), it may be best without that. This is definitely a track to add to your portfolio though cos I'm sure it would be suitable for different games, maybe one of my future ones :-) Thanks again for all your effort.

no worries, i find it hard to make positive sounding tunes as i have a pretty hardcore trance/dnb/jungle background. good luck with the game, i'm sure you'll find some good music.

MardD and Big10p: Yeah my problem is that nearly ALL my stuff is minor key and either metal/rock or techno or blues or classical guitar so I'd have trouble making that kinda mellow cheesier stuff. Plus I only use trackers and it's harder to get big sweeping chords etc which is why all music music is beaty and intense.

Grey, I'm the same mate, this music i've written is not my normal stuff, however i have had some great fun doing it!

well yeah you gotta try and branch out, it's all moew skill at the end of the day. I do have a few mellow tracks, but they are not right for the game.

YAY! Another fine track added from Cygnus! That makes 3. We make a fine team, he does the cool stuff and I boss him round ;-)

Indiepath: Yeah, for me he has delivered quickly and professionally. Not afraid to alter things too, to my spec, doesn't say "NO". All good traits, plus his music is GOOD. You'll hear it on monday.
