Woah! That HD vid is kinda cool. Look at that baby go! No wonder they breakdown so often. High speed mechanical devices are a bad idea - can't wait until HDs are replaced by, er, some other non-mechanical device.
Well I guess that CPU test proves that that video I saw once of an overclocked cpu blowing a hole in the bottom of a motherboard after the cooler was removed is fake!

The CPU vid above made me chuckle when it said the CPU went up in smoke and the application crashed. I'd have been amazed if the app hadn't crashed when the CPU went pop. :P

The second half though, I never saw before.
Now that I see that half, it's quite obvious it's fake.
If you look closely, when they move in for a closeup as they pull off the heat sink, you can see smoke in the background, coming from beneath the plywood. And when they show the more distant shot in the second pass, again, you can see the smoke before it blows up. But even more damning, is that you can see someone's arm moving beneath the plywood, as if they are trying to flick a lighter quickly at the fuse and pulling their arm back and then trying again when it fails to light.

Well, I don't know what kind of sickos this community attracts - watching videos of CPUs being tortured is just not my thing. I don't find it funny to remove a heatsink and fan - just to see what happens - very clever at all.

Yeah, I always wondered about the hard drive, how fast it works. Obviously, defragmentation is a plus. That simply is amazing that the readhead can physically swing over that quickly, stop, read data, and swing back without missing a single BIT.
The viscosity of the computer generated water is a bit too high. Almost looks like oil. Pretty close, nevertheless.

I thought the water vid was being played in slowmo. I think if it was speeded up a little, it'd look more like water. Very cool, though.
