Whatever happened to the blitz newsletter. I signed up like a year ago and the last one i got was 1 march of last year. Did i miss something?
Blitz Newsletter
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Blitz Newsletter Yes, we all had a meeting on IRC and decided you weren't allowed to know anymore.
The future is - RSS feeds.
I think this would be great for update notifications, worklog entries, general news, etc..

We were going to do a 3rd party newsletter made by members of the community - then the idea sort of died.
Personally, I don't think the Blitz community deserves it anymore as you are all boring - B o R i N g.
Blitz users should be like me handsome, smart, witty, intelligent, rich, succesful, good at everything.

lol @ Toby :P
Seriously though, n8r2k, the newsletter is dead for the time being. It seems the folks at BRL are just too busy.

That happens a lot, I remember a Blitzer called Chiefy Brown, he used to organise all sorts, Blitz Web Radio, Blitzer Photo Gallery etc etc
These would last a couple of weeks and then disappear!
I wonder what ever happened to old Chiefy?

"c h i e f y" reappeard briefly around a month ago.
Actually, I have been mulling over the idea of a Blitz radio station - could provide a source of entertainment in more than one way.

The biggest problem they had with it was finding people to fill in the broadcast slots! Granted, they could keep the radio up for a good few hours, but people would be late in taking over a segment! Hence, excuses that the bus was late, had to work overtime, fell asleep, drunk, Tesco had no bacon so they had to go to Sainsburys...
...Oh, and some of the music was just dire! :D
I think if it was organised properly, it could of lasted a lot longer!

Yeh, there are a few people here who probably fancy themselves as DJs.
I am well known in the Hip Hop community.
'World Famous Supreme Team' - WHBI. That's what we want.

If Blitz = Hard House then I can provide a 1 hour slot, assuming someone can buy me some decks and a mixer (I had to sell mine to pay rent).
I dont much see the point of music, especially niche taste music, on a programming radio channel... ?
yeh, i wouldnt mind seeing a new news letter. Sure BRL
must be busy, but it would take an hour or so to slap
something together + its always interesting to see whats
been happening... how is the 3d module for bmax coming
along, what other modules are planned..events,
competitions, user game releases & modules/libs..
anyway..i dont suppose anything is going to change any time
soon..

I personaly would wonder why not have a guy named "vinylpusher" do it.
Just try it out with podcasts.

I mean, surely BR could email a bit of news to someone once a month, what they are working on, what they intend to do... stuff like that.
There's no need to jazz it up, because we could do it ourselves!
I used to love '10 liners' and what not in Amstrad Action, little snippets of code that actually did something! That'll be good!
