i use tripod.com html editor and dot.tk for my n8r2k.tk site. Actually i use their WYSIWYG editor *bleach* because i dont have time right now to make one from scratch. You can upload files, but the free domain only has like 20 mb.
Keep in mind that many of the free website hosting places do not support off-site direct image links. (e.g. tripod.com will show you a tripod logo instead of the actual image if you try to post the image on another site.
They are kind of forced to, since without that protection many get (ab)used by people posting to popular sites like fark.com, where posting a single image can generate gigabytes of traffic thanks to the high number of hits.
