Wow! Check out this old advert for Sega Genesis (In America). It's hilarious. I'd forgotten how heroic adverts used to be.

Heh yep, well I do mean that. But it's impossible to convey that sort of emotion from simple text on a screen alone. :)
lol, I know I tried real hard to convey that aching emotion of the mullet-haired, lycra-clad singer as he gurned(?) into his microphone.
wow, cool. It's right about that time I bought the 48K (I was 8, so 1983). I still remember the smell of it, my new spectrum. Those were the days when they came with manuals and it had a basic manual, which set me onto this long and winding road! The Plus was in Dixons but my dad couldn't afford it so I got the rubber key one. Funny how you could program with keywords that were already on the keys, except in the end it was slower than typing it arg. Spec basic had a renumber commandwhich was vital, C64 never had this and it had a maximum of two lines of characters for each numbered line, which was poop.

lol, the Genesis Ad reminds me of Power Rangers. No wonder I was always into home computers in the 80's and 90's.
hmm must be think of the +2 and +3 then I programmed both of those.

I still fondly remember the AMstrad CPC 464 with it's red ESC key, Green Shift and Ctrl Keys and then finally the Bright Blue ENter keys. :)
A friend had one, he had a cool game Knightlore or something? Isometric. I also programmed his a little bit.
I had a CPC for a bit - never really got into programming for it, though, for some reason. Had a few pretty good games on it - Sorcerer, Get Dexter and the version of Solomon's Key was cool.
