MD2 CHARACTER MODELS

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/MD2 CHARACTER MODELS

..well, yes..I need exactly MD2(not B3D) animated characters, or site where I can download it for free (if such a thing exist)..any help is apprechiated...

polycount should have a few

That's the Halflife format isn't it? So any Halflife mod site should have them.

Quake I think, HL was MDL if I recall.

But yeah, a Quake mod site would be the best place to check.

quake 2

just make your own. md2's use vertice animation and they always look really crappy.

The word is "vertex," not "vertice." [/anal]

They don't always look crappy, and are very handy if you want to have large amounts of animated characters running about. Downfall is, they ain't meshes :o( But, they are far far quickier to animate then .b3d's boned stuff. May not look as nice, but heh, don't see too much difference ;o)

They do have some texture perspective issues, but like Ross said they do animate fast..
loading 20 animated md2's is only a few frames slower than loading 20 static meshes.

there are supposed to be limited to 2048 tris I think, but Blitz doesnt seem to care, Ive loaded 2500+tris md2's .
