A Revolution (a project I will actually finish!)

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/A Revolution (a project I will actually finish!)

Just a quick announcement that I've struck an in-principle deal with one Mr Simon Pick (have a quick Google or a search on lemon64 for that name!) to produce an updated version of his original game 'Revolution'.

Here's a shot of the original C64 version:

Development started on 11/Feb/2006 and started in earnest on 15/Feb/2006. Currently at a very early alpha stage. The project is being developed with my recently purchased BlitzMAX (very nice, well worth the money).

I should be on track to release alpha screens within the next month.

Right now though, sleep beckons :)

Great news mate, all the best! :D

hey cool. I look forward to it. So you'd better honour him by going all the way and finishing the game!

Looks like 2 nice and juicy bits of bacon following that space ship - bit of Danish smoked if I am not mistaken.

Not many people (if any) would put bacon in a space shooter.

Big-up respect.

Puki it's the first sign of madness if you keep seeing bacon in every day life. :)

I thought that was more like the 37th sign of madness?

Puki's capbility for lunacy seems to be increasing at a geometric rate.

Puki, the main question on everyone's lips is: "smoked, unsmoked and/or rindless?". The people must be told!

If he's sensible it'll be unsmoked rindless.

I'm sorry, that is the wrong answer. Please try again.

This is a nice game, good luck with the remake. I also think it's great that you talked to the author. Somehow it just seems a bit special to me to actually contact the people who wrote those games and talk to them. Hahaha! I mean, you would see those names in the credits of classic games and then to talk to them years and years later about remaking a game and getting permission to do that... great! :)

wow just played it on game base. Interesting, at first I expect to be a ble to fly around. In the end when I figured the controls out it was OK actually.
