fractal generation programs?

anyone know of any good ones?. I mean ones that animate and have really nice colours etc

Fond memories of Fractint with its smooth colour cycling which seemed so impressive at the time but is a bit long in the tooth now.

I played around with a few fractal zoom movie generators way back. Would've thought they could be made much nicer nowadays using 3D gfx hardware for smooth zooming.

Yes fractint is pretty cool. I think thats the one i was on about in my previous post. gotta love the colour cycling.
