Fascinating, in a number of regards:
1. The creation of this "game" does not meet the terms and conditions of the Modest Proposal. Not even close; thus, no cigar.
2. Still waiting to hear from Paul Eibeler as to HIS favorite charity for the donation. Penny Arcade's nit wits can't read, obviously.
3. Fascinating, further, that Dennis McCauley, who is the freelance "columnist" who runs this site can't use his phone to call me at (removed) to interview me about my take on this. Any real journalist, despite his animus, would have done just that. So much for Mr. McCauley's "journalistic ethics," which is, of course, an oxymoron in the video game enthusiast press, such as this site.
4. Finally, the attorneys for these idiots will be contacted.
More importantly, if Dennis McCauley were really a news person, he would report the murderous rampage by Jacob Robida that stretched from New Bedford, Mass., to Arkansas over the last three days. Cop-killing games have been identified by the Mayor of New Bedford.

I didn't know professional lawyers used so many insults.
I mean... isn't it kind of dangerous? Especially when you're expected to know everything about the law.
Calling a group of people with more than one attorney a bunch of idiots is stupid enough, but actually going on to accuse a news outlet of being incompetent without any information to back up such a statement is appalling. Does he honestly think that this will improve business?
Hell, some people are insulted by bad words simply being pronounced! (And I have a strange belief that Jack Thompson is one of those people...)
The weirdest part is, I think that far fewer insults have been thrown at him (by moderately noteable sources, that is; individuals don't count) than he has thrown back.
Furthermore, I doubt that any of these other groups' attorneys have called Mr. Thompson an incompetent moron.
This makes me think: He seems to despise (with a fiery passion!) people who enjoy computers as a hobby/passtime, so I bet he hates the open source movement.
We should start an "Open Letter to Jack Thompson" wiki.

Well 10 points to the Mayor of New Bedford then! It's alarming that Jack Thompson doesn't even understand the basic human rights that make up society, namely that someone is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

What does that mean? Identifed? Did he get called away after writing only half the sentence? Hey, I've identified several games in the last few days; one was awesome, the others were pretty 'meh'.
Despite the of course, mature and silly content, this game is really good fun to play. I wish more 2D platform games were being made instead of the usual 3D crap tedium.
My only gripe with the game though is that you can't use joypad :(

That's not what he said though is it? In fact it sounds more like he wanted a game that would make Rockstar and the like into targets for whacko kids who has, according to him, no ability to distinguish between fantasy and reality. Who cares anyway? The guy's obviously a fruit.

His game proposal says little really, and it certainly doesn't say anything about the game being peaceful (just the opposite.) I agree that this game isn't what he had in mind, but it does in fact follow his proposal to the letter.
The fact is he has little grasp of what makes a game, and thus his proposal could be fulfilled with a simple re-skin of just about any existing game.

Not just that... Names of retailers are changed (BestBuy = BesastBuy), and some lines of dialogue like "Vengeance will be mine", but other than these minor things the game stayes true to the design. And he thought it will never get done! Ha-ha!

Listen. I don't think it's fair to blame Jack Thopson for his failings as a game designer (never mind lawyer, and human being). He was just bandstanding, which ofcourse is a bit dangerous when you've royally @#!*ed off as many people as he has. Someone is going to call your bluff.
I mean I really think Jack Thompson has defeated his own arguement here. This is the game that Jack built, and if it wheren't for the comical cartoonish graphics, would've clearly been one of the most gory, violent video games in exsistance. But Jack Thompson doesn't play violent video games, so I think he just proved that psychopathic violent urges are not fueled by videogames, but rather by coldblooded psychopaths like himself.
