Mario Kart DS Wifi Question

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Mario Kart DS Wifi Question

Does anyone here know if it is possible to use a Wanadoo LiveBox with the new Mario Kart DS. I cannot get it to work despite many efforts.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Jason.

I assume Wanadoo Livebox is a wireless router. If the router is compatible, it should be detected by the DS automatically. For troubleshooting, you can try entering the IP address, Gateway, and DNS IP's manually in Mario Kart's WiFi config. You can also try enabling the DMZ from your router settings. Be sure to enter your WEP key into Mario Kart if you're using one.

Anyone with working wifi want to play?
Code: 330774746736 | Name: Eikon

I had to force my son's DS to use a static ip cos DS seems to have pretty broken functionality with the automatic setting.

Trying running ipconfig from a pc's dos box that is online and pick a number for your ds in similar range. I just tried

ip 192.168.0.66
mask: 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.0.1

or the gateway might have been 0.0, can't remember...

Probably depends on the router type skid as auto worked here for me.

Anyway, I was going to suggest the same thing Eikon did, by manually setting everything up, along with a DMZ.
