Star Wars Kid project

Would this be possible?

Ingredients:
1.stormtrooper model from the net
2.'Mr Green' JFK's video editor
3.Pacemaker ragdoll animation tool

to make stormtroopers fall over as if they are being hit by the star wars kids 'lightsabre'

that poor poor kid...

I hope you don't mind George Lucas and his team of lawyers taking up permanent residence in your rear end.

George Lucus is extremely tolerant of fan-made media, provided it's non-profit.

Yeah, it's all publicity for him at the end of the day.

Don't you think that the kid has suffered enough humiliation? If you want to take the p*ss out of someone you could always insert star wars sfx into an embarassing video of yourself.

George must have had a policy change since the days of "Monkey Island" then.

As I recall Lucas Arts made the fan site and game sites close up shop, because they released a game which carried on another story, and in the same vein. They were using characters and additional new characters for their storylines and the quality was extremely high as I recall.

I remember I was very surprised at the time as it was doing nothing more than promote the earlier games to a much wider more dedicated audience..

only short films based on starwars that are non profit are aloud no games because lucas arts will cut off your balls. george lucas runs a comp every year for the best fan film, see

some of them are really funny!

George Lucas and his team of Lawyers have literally shut down thousands of Star Wars fan sites and after the fan sites, he went after sites featuring fan fiction and then fan films. He is notorious for this and has garnered a lot of bad press over the years because of it.

Well the aim of the project is to add blitz footage to a video but I dont know if its possible with free tools.

The Chinese have a lot to answer for, their whispers game has gone out of control. Either that or Margaret Thatcher really was Human ... and I know which I believe.

If you ask Lucas permission to make a non-profit fan film or whatever, typically he gives it. All the things that get shut down are made by people who don't ask... and if you don't go after people who steal your trademarks you can lose them.

Like kleenex and Xerox almost did.

However... something like Starwars kid gets ignored because it isn't worth trying to go after.
