Just wanted to say thanks to the chaps who have posted linux info on this forum. Without is there was no way i would have been able to get my blitzmax stuff working under linux.

One handy hint I have for people is - install ubuntu linux. It's the only one I managed to get working.

Not sure if I was one of the people that helped or not, but I definitely agree with the Ubuntu recommendation, as I had no end of trouble with other distros. Not just in terms of getting BlitzMax running, but in terms of getting 3D acceleration as well.

Well, I have Linspire 5.0 installed, and it seems to have everything running just fine. For a while I did have audio issues. Those have since been fixed within BlitzMAX 1.12's release.

I agree that K/Ubuntu linux is by far an easier option though...
