hosting

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/hosting

I'm looking for a good site to host dynamic content (for gaming of course).... but since it is for display/hobby purposes only, I wan't it to be very cheap $5-$10 per month max. I would like it to be able to support php/mysql.

Do you have any recommendations? Where do you host and how much does it cost?

How about free dynamic php templates, any suggestions?

I recently moved some of my high volume clients to BKA Web Hosting: http://www.duoservers.com

They have been extremely reliable and they are very affordable and full featured. I have been very impressed. They are my new host of choice!!

http://www.powweb.com

Been with them 2 years and I'm hosting 3 websites with them. They offer 10gig bandwidth a day and, well, just check them out yourself.

:)

godaddy.com - php, mysql, 5GB diskspace and more for under $4 a month.

I can host your games for free on www.tvebakken.dk
Maybe even give you rights to a page of your own. For each game you want hosted.

Would I be able to take you up on that offer? I'm not sure I'll need to, but I may want to host the download somewhere other than my site when I release Flamewar!:

i used http://www.34sp.com some time back good value at 15uk pounds for a year hosting also.

godaddy is nothing but a reseller. I would stay away from reseller hosts all together as they tend to have poor speeds and offer way too much for very little price. That means they overload their servers too.

I would go with someone like http://www.zeonfx.com - a very reliable host that isnt a reseller and doesnt overload. They're still pretty cost effective and have outstanding customer service.
