U.K. South West Indian Night

OK, here are the final details. Puki, Shagwana, SoggyP, are any of you coming? Let me know so I can book the table for the right number of people. Anyone else is of course welcome!

You can park in South Street car park (moreless opposite the restaurant) on the left as you go down it (the East side). I think it's free at night. If you're staying at the Bull, I think they have their own car park (ask them).

If you get here in the day, Bridport has a market on Saturday which might be fun if not raining. If you get bored, ask me for my phone number and come and visit.

I recommend the Bull hotel for cheap effective accomodation.

After the meal we can have a drink in any pub/bar, even the Bull.

Bridport is 1 mile from the sea so if you get time on Sat or Sunday go to West Bay and have a look around, it might be cold this time of year but it is nice, plus all the surrounding countryside is nice.

The table will be booked in the name of Birkett (that's me) in the event you arrive before me. I have long black hair in a ponytail and am 30ish with spectacles and am slim, not too tall (5'6") plus have a stupid beard

We decided to meet at an earlier time in a pub:

Let's meet at 7:30pm in a pub (well you can go there earlier but I gotta get the kids in bed) and eat at 8:00. Lets meet in the "Beach and Barnicot" which is on the West side of South street, right at the top, opposite the Town Hall (big red building with a clock on top). There is an area with benches in front of the town hall, the beach and barnicott is directly opposite this; it's a bar rather than a pub and has a big window at the front and tables and chairs inside. It has a cosy upstairs bit with sofas in, if the upstairs is open, I suggest we meet up there, otherwise downstairs in the bar. Just look for me and hopefully we'll all find each other that way, worst case we just meet at the Indian. OK?

If you want to get a train, go to Crewkerne or Dorchester South and I may be able to pick you up/drop you off.

haha, Seriously though, I had been to the bank at lunch time, just wanted some statements but asked for an overdraft at the same time, I was not okay for a loan, and i have appealed for an overdraft. How daft is that? Ive been working non stop for a year!

Cyg: I've had a Natwest overdraft for years and as I was putting wages in for years they let the overdraft facility get massive (talking several grand here) cos I was always in credit. Then I starting paying my wages into another account and not theirs and they started to send all these paranoid letters cos of course I could clean out the overdraft one day and go to Spain. So to shut them up I sometimes put a bit of money in and transfer it out straight away! Problem with overdrafts is the interest rate is totally crap, but then again you can get much smaller overdrafts than loans which seem to always be for huge amounts (at least if you want a decent rate of interest). I personally haven't used parents/relatives/friends for loads but know plenty of people that have, with 0% interest of course, and some parents even say "don't bother to pay me back" if they know the person is not spending it on drugs/women of the night etc.

I'm already borrowing off my parents to pay the deposit.

Oh, and I got a 1.2% interest rate. Shocking huh? :)

Anyway, thats enough of that for now. :)

I tell you what I would consider though - a combined Blitz users holiday - sort of a week long affair - would be a laugh. Or, how about in the future a Blitz users day-trip to Alton Towers - we just all meet up there?

Well Panno has an excuse, he's based in Germany. Now as for the other slackers in the UK who only live a couple of counties away, get your arses in gear, it's not too late. We gonna have a blast!

If someone made a blitz night in London, I'd go. So who's gonna make a blitz night next??

Still, don't forget my idea of a meet-up in the summer - say Alton Towers, or something like that - day at a zoo - day in London, Larging about - or a day at a beach, Larging about, etc.
