BRL Code Archives request.

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/BRL Code Archives request.

I've raised this before but have cause to raise it again.

When someone creates a code archive, can the date also be included in the same way it would if someone posted a comment regarding the code archive - ie on the right-hand side of their post (as is usual for everything else except creating a code archive)?

The site logs the date of a code archive creation, and if you search by category it will show you it in a list of all entries in that category. However, you cannot see that creation date if you view the entry directly.

So, if I were to click on 'Code Archives' at the bottom of the forum page (in 'Special Forums') and pick the first one (currently) in the list which is 'No clipping for FPS weapons' by 'Unknown' ("Rob Cummings"), I see his entry - but no creation date.

If I then check the category of his entry which is '3D Graphics - Effects' and search on the entire category, the creation dates for the code archives are in the right-hand column - but you have to manually find the particular code archive. So, the date for the above example is 2005-01-29.

So, on the basis that we know the site is logging the creation date - hows about sticking that in on the right-hand side of the actual code archive entry?

Second'd.

Me too!

Seems to make sense. Poor puki has wasted too much deductive work time on this already.

Well, I had to explain the situation - coz last time I raised it I thought it would be obvious.

People who post Blitzmax code should post what version they compiled in as quite a few are that I've tried are outdated and needed tweaking or updating so that they would even work.
