3D chat universe

There's a new 3D chat universe out there thay everybody can go to and hang out. You can create houses and such here and walk around and talk to fellow coders. To get it, download http://www.echoshard.com/mog/3Dworld.rar

I liked the idea,

When i decided to try one out the only "animation" people would chose was "kiss".

wow active worlds :/ how on earth you affording this lol this engine is expensive and the graphic quality sucks in my opinion.

VRML never looks beautiful.
The good part about it is that... simply because of the nature of it being an open, free programming language, anyone can build anything. If you saw the community at www.Cybertown.com back in its golden days, you will know what I'm on about.
The openness of it all can do some amazing stuff.

One of the only?? I'm taking it you were just a tourist at the time because there are a ton of people you can be. Plus, they came pre-animated.

Yes, there was a ton of people you can be, and yes they were (duh) Pre-animated-

The fact is, all people wanted to do was have cyber-bedroom-fun.

I download, played got bored - did the usual.

If you get close to someone, you can see their name.

Luckily I get a perfectly working 3D Chat Universe when I step outside my house.

i'd check it out if i could use my own models :)

I believe there's a way you can. I know you can put your own sounds and pictures on the TVs and computers.
