Just came across this pixel art program which I don't think I've seen mentioned on the forums. Free version is available.

Although the site is Japanese(?) you can find the download page by clicking on the huge 'download' image. Yup, ben mentioned. By me at least. And in the old BC forums also. Anyway, is a a good free tool.

I prefer Adobe ps and some sort of sprite/tile checker.[Is how allways I do at work.]

Like Animation Shop, etc.

Oh well, at least it's 'bumped' now.

I find PS slightly too fancy for something simple like pixel art, but this seems just right.

You could click the 'English' tab in the top-right.

Just bought it. It only costs 9.5 quids. Perfect. :)

One thing I like of this one is the animation preview window. Consider it a silly thing from me , but i get disturbed with its blinking. I hope one day they fix that...Happens to me also with Pixia's free painter's UNDO. Great tool, but I hate blinking...And I undo a lot.

If you're refeering to the animation preview flashing, you can right click and choose pause from the list.

That will stop the flashing.

oh, yup, but I meant not stop checking the anim preview. but see the preview without the flashing thing.

No specific animation features IIRC, but does support layers such.
