Hey swifty, your shadow system can cast shadows on to lightmaped mesh?
SWIFT SHADOW SYSTEM
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/SWIFT SHADOW SYSTEM Yes it can.
Yes, it does just that in Anime Bowling Babes.
Wouldn't it have been easier to e-mail him this?
NO
Er, I mean "yes."
Er, I mean "yes."
Don't forget stencil shadows and stuff. They are a lot faster, perfectly accurate, and there are dll's out now for this.
What dlls?
Theres one out you can find on CW but its not free (and he has a spiffy payment method) but i'm hoping to finish the free system "soon-ish enough". :)
yeah... how's that coming Lenn...
swift, don't look :)

I've seen people do stencil shadows in Blitz, but nobody so far which I have seen has been able to make animated characters cast them.
Doesn't really worry me either way. Sales of my shadow system have long since dropped to an average of less than two a month.

Which is exactly why I am not planning on purchasing this just yet...! Paypal - yes, Bank Transfer to Russia - no.
From that link...
"How are you supposed to pay for it? I don't quite understand..."
"It's a direct bank transfer through an international system called "Swift." It should be quite easy to send payment--just take the information shown above to your bank and they'll know what to do."
Notice there is talk of paypal.
You might want to post if you're interested

I do agree with Avon..I'm not confident to pay on this way...paypal or share it..no problem...
It cost me a fortune to do a bank transfer from the US to england. Think it cost nearly as much as the item I was buying. I'll never do it again.
Just so you know, that russian shadow system is one of the ones I've seen before, and like other stencil shadow systems for Blitz before it, does not appear to support casting shadows from boned meshes.
Plus it's Russian. What more motivation do you need to avoid buying it?
Remember BasicGL, anyone?

Plus he's using my little robot without permission :)
paypal seems good, I sent Cygnus over $2000 the other day, and they didn't charge him much. But did call him to find out what the payment was for before sending it him.
Paypal is bad. they are allowed to keep your money if for any reason they choose to.
When you have a paypal account, always keep it empty.

Our system will support casting shadows from boned meshes thanks to amazing work by spacemonkey. He's a genious. And i wish i had more time, but i'm chugging along, no more deadline promises tho. Its up to me to finish the volume updating, but theres always a LITTLE more testing i just have to do :(
paypal seems good
They're good, but the INSTANT you get your money you should transfer it out of the account. Paypal can and in some cases will just freeze your account and your money is lost to them.
A friend of mine got one complaint on eBay and Paypal froze his account and took money out of his bank account without any evidence to suggest the complaint was true.
Yeah, I make sure my PayPal account stays empty.
Takes a while for it to transfer too. Paypal=5-7 days then bank 5-7 days!? That was a bit rediculous.
Other than that I had no real problems with them.
I assume you got my spare change Noel?

Yeah, transfer went through fine.
Paypal sends me money in like three days, but I'm in the US.
you see, Mine has to COME from the US :)
Because it has to be converted Cygnus.
It's very hard to convert from dollars (a good standard) to the goats/sheep unit... It takes paypal a few days to do the proper research, then the bank has to check their work (and copy their notes), then and only then do you get your livestock :-P
Much easier to pay the Irish (I happen to be of Irish decent), paypal can merely send over a barrel of ale....

Apparently, so does the rest of the entire population of the USA! :P
