which mobo is the best one out of these two?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/which mobo is the best one out of these two?

Bit confused... it's the first two motherboards at the top. (MB-113-AS or MB-125-AS)

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/ASUS_Socket_754.html

Both motherboards have the same price and really similar spec. The specs are misleading on the site but if you click the specifications links it helps clear matters up. So which of those two is the best one?

I ask cos I have a PCIe x800XL card (got it from a friend) and it's cheaper for me to just change motherboards and keep the existing 754 (my current mobo is AGP)...

That is why I need a decent 754 PCIe mobo. But which of those on that link should I get... MB-113-AS or MB-125-AS ?

main differences i see:
Deluxe has 8-channel audio (6 for non-deluxe)
Deluxe has 8 SATA ports (4 for non-deluxe)
From the pictures, I believe Deluxe supports FireWire and not the non-deluxe.

There's also a blue ram port on the Deluxe, but I don't what it means.

If they are the same price, go for the Deluxe.

i wouldnt recommend either as they use the now outdated 754 socket. Unless your current video card is really poor hold on until you upgrade the cpu.

It costs £65 to upgrade my graphics card from an ati 9800 128meg to an x800XT 256 meg if I buy this motherboard. That is an excellent stop gap to my mind. I have committed to it and sold my old mobo + 512meg ram for £45

:)

So, £20 for x800XT.

Lots of people tell me asus mobos are no good?
