I ordered these two books from amazon. I suppose I should have asked first but has anyone here read them?

Game Development With LUA
Programming In Lua

I got them because I'm using the LUA module in BMax for my scripting engine.

You knew Programming in Lua was available online, right?

As for 'Game Development with LUA', 'Game Scripting Mastery' would have probably been a better buy, since it covers more than just Lua and how to write your own interpreter.

opps no I didn't know that. Oh well I don't keep a net connection at home so having the book will still be nice. I'll take a look at the other book you mentioned, thanks.

Agreed. Game Scripting Mastery is a great book. In fact the entire Premier Press Game Development series is excellent. I can't speak highly enough of them. They cover pretty much everything related to modern game dev. These books have finally put my tattered and dog-eared copy of 'The Black Art Of 3D Game Programming' to rest. I find the Premier Press books infinitely more helpful and easier to read than a lot of the other dry/boring propellor-head type books.
