Forum Commands

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Forum Commands

I am seeing lot of people doing visual tricks in this forum.
They use some commands that I don't know. (And I wand to know.)
For example :

<code>
......
</code>

Now if I replace the "<" and ">" with "[" and "]"
I get this :
...

Also :

<codebox>
.....
</codebox>

gives this :

....

and for Bold I do this <B>Bold</B>

Can you tell me other tricks?
For example some people posting Links under words. How I can do that?
Also I will been realy glad if someone can tell me if this is something standard from an Languge like "PHP"?

for forum code's see faq.

kev

oh I realy mised that.
Thanks.

I still think they should stick a link to that page next to the Post and Preview buttons.

Agreed.

Agreed 100%.

I disagree. (Aren't I a pain?)

I like how uncluttery it is right now.
They'd probably add another 30 links along with that one.

What an odd thing to say!

I'm always clicking around there to deselect the input box when I need to scroll back up in the post, and it would be a pain to be dodging links.

I seem to be completely outnumbered though, so I will just be grumpy about it once they add it.

Interesting. I use the mammoth amount of space to the right of the input box. =]

It's hard to find, but I found now the forum code tricks :)
This should have a link in the manuals section.

Andrea, see this post: http://www.blitzbasic.com/Community/posts.php?topic=54807#610640

You linked me to this post :D

I only reply to it, that the thread comes to top
so that other searching people better find them.

where is the link to the faq page? i can't find it anywhere.

ah, ok nevermind, i found it on google.

I must be blind, there's a link to the faq on the main page of blitzbasic and I've never noticed it until now! :)

I must be blind

Does that make me incredibly observant then?

Not sure how the heck you people manage to NOT find these... O_o

Maybe that's the reason

A German proverb says:
because of many trees
you cannot see the forest

Deforestation. Solves everything.
