Please could someone tell me if Protean has a progress bar when compiling source code like the default IDE does. I`m sure it did but now it seems to have vanished. Maybe it`s because I`ve only just started compiling large sources and have never noticed before as my source only took seconds to compile i.e. not giving me a chance to see that it wasn`t there like in the standard IDE. Hmm...
Am I going crazy?
Jason.
I don't recall a progress bar, I always looked at the Output window anyway. Of course, I don't remember a progress bar on the default IDE either, but if that's the case then all it really does is parse the three or four lines of code the compiler produces (assuming we're not talking about BMax) and represents that as 25% each ;]
Actually now that I mention it I seem to recall suggesting that to Rob millenia ago, but it's not exactly a very high priority thing.
I probably notice this more as I have the output window turned off. When compiling huge source files I get no feedback as to what is happening. Would be worse on a slower computer to I would imagine.
