How do I get CVS?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/How do I get CVS?

I seem to be going along an endless path of utilities that leads ultimately to nothing.

The thing I am trying to do: Run CVS.
I have the source. I have Min-Sys. I made a failed attempt at getting a C compiler which simply resulted in it requiring itself to build its source. I now have TCC, because it's smaller, and it's giving me absurd error messages involving GCC. (!!!)
Clearly I am doing something very wrong here and need help.
Looking at GCC instructions, I still need a bazillion other tools along with it, all of which are also probably distrubuted in ways that require me to download yet another thing to build them.

I also looked at a clearly outdated "How to Install CVS" pdf file, which led me over to CygWin and a bunch of other stuff... either I screwed it up or it was the wrong thing.

So... What do I have to do to get CVS?

I hope I'm not the only one that's been this confused!

I do realize, by the way, that CVS is not like what I'm used to... thus, I may be ignorant, but at least I am aware that I am being so.

Oh, and I'd best state the reason for all of this...
I am trying to get the source code to this:
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/plugins/plugin-host-control.html
I am not getting the source code to modify it, but rather, to build it, because the only built version of this that I have found is ancient.

Ah, excellent.
Thanks, Noel!

Down here in Texas CVS was having some kind of territorial dispute with Eckerds and Walgreens... I guess CVS is winning but why we NEED a pharmacy on every streetcorner is beyond me.

You could use my modified version of the plugin control, it works better than the original :D
