Actually it would keep me from having to constantly check the site for changes/responses. They are extreemly nice.

I've never seen the fade of RSS. To me its like a lazy excuse to say "My life is too busy to visit the site for real, so I'll just get a brief outline of the new stuff. I'm too cool to visit all these forums I'm a member of unless its worthy of my appearence".
In reality, most people read the RSS feed, then go to the site anyway, wasting even more time.

I think RSS are nice for blogs and sites with interesting news, specially when you want to save time from visiting a lot of friends' sites to check if he/she put something new

I like RSS feeds I can put it in to google/ig thign and it allows me to stay in touch and contary to others opinons in my opinion(Which does not devaule their opinions) I feel it saves time as you can see every thing you want to see compiled into one page and expand on only the things you want to view.
