All,
I've made a turn-based card game, and I would like to add music and sound to make a nice atmosphere.
For example, I've recorded some sentence that I usually say when I play with other friends, to be played randomly (once a time) during each turn.
But this does not make the atmosphere I wanted. The sentences are in some way confusing, and while they could give some fun, in the long run they may be annoying. And there are always sentences that get repeated, more or later.
So, I've abandoned that sentence idea. I guess that simple sound effects for the game itself would do the trick. For example, when a card is picked, played, shuffled..
Also the music, I've seen that some quiet country motif fits fine for the game.
The question: how would you proceed ? How would you find out which effects to add, and which ones to avoid ?
Same question for music..
Do you have made some card game already ? If so, how did you realized the sound/music requirements ?
Thanks in advance,
Sergio.
