email spam..

Hi

I receive email from compagny or spammer but there no message in fact the message appear in a gif file, I use outlook express and I can't see how to block email with .gif extension.. it's there an anti-spam email program that can block those emails or an email client that is free and can do the job?... My anti-virus program has an anti-spam email checker but it does't work with this kind of email.

You can set up an outlook rule to search the body of an image for .gif... Although you'll block a lot of legit mail as well I'm sure, since a ton of messages nowadays have embedded images.

Especially when you receive mailings from corporations (like flight confirmations, invoices, etc.) they tend to include all kinds of images to make them look 'professional'.

Wow. I really can't believe people still use outlook express for their e-mails. :O

I think Firefox has a built in mail solution. And there's pegasus, they say it's a good outlook replacement. Didn't try it myself, I use browser accounts.

I still use Eudora 2.2 Pro myself... Same client since '95.

no, but there is mozilla thunderbird downloadable from the same site as firefox
