What's on your list then, hey? Games/Hardware must be included to keep thread relevent/non-deleted.
Since Santa is going to be stuck around your house for a long time I'll only list one item:
GP2X handheld
ah that Linux thing, seems cool.
Oh, you have this thread as well. I'll repeat myself then. Get Civilization 4.
Hmm, let me see.

Civ4 and Shadow of the Colossus will be grrreat!
But I need to quell this game addiction I have, so I'll probably
end up asking for digital camera equipment, etc. Fun fun.
Fisheye lens, Higher speed/capacity memory card,
monopod, yeah that would be nice when I'm over in Malaysia.
Christmas List
Most wanted:
- Lazer Tag 2-Player Deluxe Set (I will kick Hannah's ass with this, since it's impossible to do it in any video games now...)
Other random stuff I came up with on short notice:
- Call of Cthuhlu (Xbox)
- Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War (PS2)
- Gun (PC)
- Heroes of the Pacific (Xbox)
- Battalion Wars (GameCube)
- Gradius V (PS2) [Roman numeral, search for 'V' though as for some reason they decided to sell it with that name]
- Slippers (Not the slip-on kind since those will just slip right off)
- Fleece Socks (If possible, with Batman on them)
- Fantom Titanium 80GB External HD (USB 2.0
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822154623)- SoftImage XSI Foundations
Mine. Mostly included XSI in there as a joke since my parents wouldn't take it seriously at $500 ^_^ But there's still an off-chance I'll get it (and nothing else, but eh), so what the hey.
I got my older sister Black and White 2 since she liked the first one, younger sister gets dolls and stuff. Brother gets coal for getting me indirectly banned from Gamedev.net.
A shed load of money'll do me.
I am getting a new graphics card:
PowerColor ATI Radeon X850 XT PE 256MB DDR3
43 billion shader operations per second
1080 million vertices/sec
200 billion floating point operations/sec.
1080 million vertices/sec.
37.76 GB/sec.
8.32 Gigapixels /sec.
- 540MHz GPU Clock Speed
- 256MB 1180MHz GDDR3
- 256-bit quad-channel GDDR3 memory interface
- Sixteen pixel pipelines
- Six programmable vertex shader pipelines
£234.94 Including VAT at 17.5%
I think that card might just pack a little bit of punch.
puki: I'd go for an Nvidia card. They generally have better support for new technology (e.g., PS and VS 3.0).
How about some lovely socks or hankies?
Noodle: Gun isn't a top rater, get something else. Funnily I have got Gradius V on a wish list of PS2 games too, it's probably also not a top rater. I have already got Gradius I-IV in a compilation.
The missus is getting me a new Mac Mini - I want it now :D
Noodle: Gun isn't a top rater, get something else.
Not really after 'top raters', just games I've tried and liked (or games like Gradius that I know what I can expect from). For example, Heroes of the Pacific isn't anything special, but I haven't had a good dog fight since Battlefield 2, and since I don't like the whole 'realism' thing, I'll take it over some simulator.
Nvidia have basically dropped AGP, at least ATI still support it.
johndevoy: I can still buy the following nVidia AGP cards:
GeForce MX 4000 (AGP / PCI)
GeForce FX 5200 (AGP / PCI)
GeForce 6200 (AGP)
GeForce 6600 GT (AGP)
GeForce 6800 XT (AGP)
Also, the GeForce 6800 GS Extreme Edition from XFX will be available as an AGP version soon.
As you an see, normal PCI support stops at the FX5200. Not really surprising considering the nature of the old PCI bus. Anything faster would start to become limited by the bus, not to mention the CPU (assuming a pre-AGP motherboard).
AGP support stops at the 6800 GS, a card running at 400MHz core and 1100MHz RAM (Extreme Edition is pre-overclocked). Surely this is the limit of what AGP can really support?
There are still some fairly new motherboards available which support the latest CPU's, but have AGP instead of PCI-Express. The thing is though, you've got the choice. You can upgrade your PC and retain your AGP card, or you can fully upgrade and get a PCI-Express card.
It's just about choice. On one hard, nobody is forcing you to upgrade, on the other hand there is an upgrade path available to you if you wish to use it.
I made a hard decision when I upgraded. I spent a lot of money all in one go and the only product I didn't replace was my case (I paid over £200 for my case, I ain't getting rid of it just yet!). This was my first real upgrade in more than 2 years. The last time I upgraded was to replace my GeForce Ti500 with a 5900XT and latterly to add 512MiB of cheap RAM to support my use of VMWare and Photoshop ;)
Santa's bringing me a nice laptop :D
...along with a three years credit I'll have to pay :D that didn't happen when I was 10 :D
In 3 years, you'll probably want a new laptop.
Yes, get Gradius V, it's so awesome it even comes on a CD.
well I ended up buying winners and sinners myself. Also I found out that one of my presents is a full body massage, nice, I need it after hunching over my PC finishing my game!
Peace on earth, and good will towards men (and women).
Sod that, where's my 5 presents? (see above)
I'll be as peaceful as a fart in a church until I get my presents :P
