My favourite era was probably the Spec 48K/C64 era, but then I enjoyed the Amiga era too. Hmm also I enjoyed the Doom1&II era a lot.

I enjoyed watching that. I tried to download it for keepsies, but the nasty BBC slowed my connection and it would have taken 90 hours to download.

Spectrum 48k was my first computer and my first love.

I can't wait to see computers in 20 years from now - oh boy! I could live for another 50+ years - great! I wonder if technology in 50 years can even be predicted - considering how the experts got it wrong when predicting todays technology in the 1970s, etc

I want 3D totally immersive you walk around in them games and actaully keep fit playing them esp. fighting yeah!, kinda like a holodeck I guess.

Well, at the rate things are going in 20+ years you won't be able to play anything unless your plugged into the interweb, and swipe your creditcard first.

'the industry' is wetting themselves dreaming of pay-as-you-play systems, up to and including your operating system yourself. Microsoft wants nothing better than 'maintain' all your user data and files as well, for a 'low monthly fee' of course.

looks like you need realplayer or something I don't have on my puter, oh well.

If you need RealPlayer, then try RealAlternative instead. It's a 3rd party stripped-to-the-bones realplayer codec that will play all Real content without actually having to install the 'real' RealPlayer and all its associated garbage.

You don't nead realpayer you need realarcade, it's their kinda wrapper for all their games and it handles news, shopping, installs etc.
