telnet

Is there a way to directly telnet from windows xp ?
or is there any software you'd recommend to do the job ?

I have WinXP Pro and I just typed telnet at the command prompt and it gave me a telnet console.

There is a built-in telnet application in WinXP. But PuTTY is better (and does ssh aswell).

Yep I use putty too. NEVER EVER use windows telnet.

PuTTY rocks.

Putty is pretty much the standard app for that, from what I seen. Make sure you use ssh or something like that if possible, because plain telnet isn't secure.
