Big chance some DORK stole my cash which I sent to Share-it for bmax.. 't has been a week ago and they still received zippo. It's supposed to go from NL to Germany, big deal.. should take only 2 days orso..

And ofcourse I didn't do recorded mail.. I sent cash to share-it before to buy Visual blitz, all went fine.

you didn't put coins in an evelope did you or is your conspiracy theory a separate issue?

Coins in an envelope is liable to break open the envelope as well as get stolen. You can get a bank (or indeed a friend/relative) to write a cheque out even if you dont have an account by giving them the cash. Posting that is much safer.

Had the same problem with sending money by mail (from NL to UK), after that, I decided to take a credit card. I had luck with sending money 2 times, but the 3rd (and last) time it was never delivered.

It had some coins yeah.. wrapped in paper.. but alas.. it worked before.. I'll wait a few days, and then cash out another E72.30some.. or dunno, perhaps 75, to get rid of the coins..

Creditcards are usually given to ppl with a regular bank-feed, not small companies with some now and then some big assignments..

However, internet or not, one should be able to send a letter to some adres without it getting lost or stolen.

In an ideal world yes, I still haven't received the first copy of Civ IV that play.com sent (fortunately, they did send another one which arrived no problem).

Just pay online dude it's so easy. Use a debit card if you don't have a credit card. Write a letter, christ what a fag, I avoid that as much as possible now.

I think here it is not even allowed to send money that way - you have to use a... uh... well you pay in the post office and in the destination post office, they pay the man you want to send the money to - don't know the word in English for 'Giro Postal', sorry

Yeah, I also heard something like that here in the Netherlands. But that doesn't mean people don't send money by post :P

Seriously, get a cashiers cheque or international money order instead. Sending cash is just too risky, although I doubt it's actually illegal. What would be the punishment? A fine?

They say you can cover notes in alfoil in order to prevent scanners being able to detect notes, of course if anyone were to see that they'd see that you've covered something up in alfoil. Probably something you didn't want a nobody to see. Well, how dare you! Ha ha ha, I'm going to open it anyway. No, wait, I mean... that's what they'd say.

I've been checking about this. It seems it was illegal here in Spain some years ago... then with the latest Postal Law there's no mention to this issue; so I guess it's OK if you do it. Apparently there was some conflict with UE law which in theory lets you send money this way.

However, I'd never do it - Money orders are cheap and 100% secure. Even certified mail is not secure (talking about Spain). It certifies that you will know *what has happened* and if it's lost, *where it's lost* but will not recover the money or a compensation for whatever it was containing. To do that you need to buy a Postal Insurance too (expensive), declaring what you're going to send and blah blah.
