weird email... virus?

Can anyone make heads or tails of this? Or is it just what it looks like, a garbled mess? Yeah, I know, steer clear of the 'send it to everyone you know', but what I'm wondering about, is that there is apparantly supposed to be an image, but how?

And what's with all the equal signs and embedded 3D's?

by the way, this is only one small part of a much longer email.

It's because the text encoding has been screwed up. The lack of an image is probably part of that garbled HTML, but sent by someone who doesn't know how to use Outlook properly.
