I got this from my firewall today:

DirectX is looking for certified drivers.
Go to run prompt, type dxdiag
Now uncheck WHQL drivers setting and it will no longer do this.

Nope, WHQL is off...
I just checked google and it's very likely that streaming video from VH1 you will have to accept some DRM components, which are now checking every program I run.
If this is the case, then I need to find a way to disable this.

Right click Internet Explorer, then Advanced tab and uncheck "Check for publishers certificate revocation" in Security settings.
