Flash in Firefox?

I recently got a little popup telling me there was a new version of Flash (v8 I presume). But since installing it Flash just won't work in Firefox (1.0.7) at all - just get a big empty space. I now need to fire up IE to get those sites to work.

I've tried re-installing Firefox and Flash - but no luck.

Any ideas?

("Don't use Flash", I know, but some sites are just unusable without it)

Type about:plugins in the address bar and tell me what you see under "Shockwave Flash".

I have Firefox 1.0.7 and Flash plugin 8.0 r22 and Flash works fine here. Dunno what the newest version of Flash Player is.

I figured out what it was. I disabled the Adblock Extension and it started working fine. Bummer, I like Adblock - guess I could just disable it when I need Flash.

Edit: more precisely, it's having the "Obj-Tabs" enabled in Adblock - Flash 8 doesn't seem to like them.
