Never forget an important thread or useful info

You all know the story - you remember an interesting thread, but can't remember which one.

I have been on this site now for a couple of years and it is only now - on this day - that I have thought to 'bookmark' interesting threads.

I bet a few other people never thought of it too.

I simply created an 'Interesting Threads' bookmark in my Blitz bookmark and now I can merrily go about storing everything I think I will ever need to look back on.

Previously, I had to try and remember who had posted in a thread then search their forum posts list to find it. Or, sometimes I would enlist the help of Google.

This is the first thread I have stored:

and it appears in my 'Interesting threads' bookmark list as 'Object and Handle Commands'. How Large is that?

What is your "Blitz Bookmark"?

My Blitz one has this site, Coders Workshop and other Blitz related links.

EDIT: I am talking about browser bookmarks - just to make that clear.

In fact, I am going to create multiple versions for the relevant forum - such as 'Blitz3D Programming' or 'Blitz Showcase', etc.

Oh OK, mine has coders w. too and Blitz Coder and Protean.

Yeh, but I bet yours doesn't have 'Interesting Threads'.

If a thread has lots of useful information, and has pretty much run its course, then I'll save the web page to a "Blitz Tips" folder on my hard drive. Of course, this doesn't include the drivel that makes up most of the General Discussion forum. ;)

Puki: no I don't have an interesting threads sub-folder, but I tend to save any resulting code conlusions to the Samples folder within Blitz. Aside from that I just remember it cos I'm cool (not really, I'll probably just end up posting again).

I just make clever use of google if i need a tip.
