just tested it in action now and noticed that when I tested blitz3d mario game game first lanunched in a separate own window, just as if started from exe and then it appeared in IE. Is this normal behaviour?

It only happens with Blitz EXEs though Blitz+ works fine and that's obvious with the samples at my site all written in B+ except Mario written in B3D!!

okej, atleast this time it's working... I tried it week ago on this same computer and nothing would happen after instalation of activeX control and microsoft own stuff...

Fascinating. Similarly to Indiepath's web loader efforts, this refuses to run on my machine --> Windows XPSP2, GeForce 6600 v71.89... The B3D demo (castle) crashes in much the same way. The B3D window opens, shows a MAV dialog and quits after I click OK.

The real strangeness is with the B+ ones. First I let the InfoBar know it's OK to install the ActiveX component, then I click Yes to run the actual game. After that, the 'thanks for waiting' loading bar works, after that though... kaboom! ALL of my currently opened applications turn orange in my taskbar, indicating that the window has changed and needs my attention:

The Internet Explorer window shows in the taskbar that it is still loading the game (although nothing ever happens) and the little flag in the top right hand corner is still animating. I can't quit out. This also had the affect of freezing other IE windows and even 'Microsoft Office Picture Manager' (part of Office 2003). After forcing a program close using Taskman, all resumed normally.

Toby : Could you please download the demo of OSAKit Pro and install it and see if it work when you finish installation?

Also try use the OSA HTML Code Generator program which will be in the OSA Kit program group and test it offline (there is a sample folder in OSA Kit installed folder) which contains Insectoids.ply file and see if it works or not?

I'm not going to pay for something that requires a browser from the past, Internet Explorer. Sorry, but ActiveX is a technique that even Microsoft wants to avoid themselves!

Okay Jeroen, What would you pay for something that does not require a "browser from the past"? Go on, get yer money out.

I would pay what Sphinx offers, if it works with Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer. But then it can't be based on ActiveX, and my guess is that OSA does use this depreciated technique.

The very nature of ActiveX makes Explorer impossible to operate securely. Unlike other vendors who make attempts at providing improved protection, ActiveX is one big hole waiting to be exploited.

Same thing happens after installing OSAPro and same thing happens inside the Code Generator, except the Code Generator doesn't hang - I can keep using it and quit normally.
