Open Source e-Shop Project

Are there any asp developers in the community who would be interested in collaborating on an open source shopping cart project that is free for anyone to use for private or commercial use?

Do you know which platform you are going to develop on?

Take a look at http://sourceforge.net for tons of open source projects. You'll also want to check out www.asp.net and dotnetnuke.com - both great resources for open source - also with a few shopping cart programs.

Check "OS Commerce" and "Agora Cart" first... sorry to say, but I doubt that you can do better one?

We're using Windows 2003 servers and need a solution that uses ASP or ASP.NET. I've looked at many open source carts, but most are written in PHP for Linux/Unix. I'd checked one eCommerce cart for ASP that looked very promising, but being a web developer wishing to deliver shopping cart solutions to cleints, the terms state that I would have to purchase a license.

I'm sure that I'll figure out a solution somehow :). I shall check sourceforge when I get back to work on Monday also.

I do alot of ASP and Access developing. Can you give me some more details?

We've just ordered PHP hosting capabilities, so will now be looking at what osCommerce can offer. Will let you know if I decide to go ahead with the open source option.
