Convert between 426 model formats

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Convert between 426 model formats

426 3d file formats (EUR 45 or USD 55).

The author obviously knows his stuff.

There is not much commercial game stuff in there. However, I am going to contact the author to see exactly what copyright game media he can convert.

For example JoWood were happy for modders to unpack the Arx Fatalis (great looking 3D RPG) file formats - they refused to get involved in conversion to other formats (for legal reasons). I have the unpacker (ArxPak) - but nobody wrote the converters to .3ds or similar. I bet this guy could do the converters.

In addition, here is another person who seems to have a knack for converting game media:

Nice finds!

OpenMex will let you view and extract from tons of game archives:

Dragon UnPacker is goodish for game media extracing purposes too, although it's quite "french" software (literally):

Nice one "Boydy" and "Mustang".

I just went through an entire bottle of baby oil. Still, there's plenty more where that came from.

Puki. Something wrong with you, there is.....

Nice find though.

I have Deep Exploration and the problem with that is when converting a model to .3ds or .x often I loose the animation data if it is the bone/mesh deform style. Do these products suffer from this issue?

Often? Try "always" because .3DS and .X (dx7) doesn't have bone support! :)
