Desktop Note Software?

I need some software like the the 3M-Postit but instead of the software ones that was show on screen.

Some software is not free and even not working on Win2000, currently I can only find 2 or 3 softwares and they are not free (or dead/no support)

Whichone is better if I want to install on the PC?

Have you investigated OpenOffice 2?

I'm not sure if it has note-taking capabilities, but it might.

It doesn't, but I'd still recommend getting it, cos' it's good and free.

OO.org is a pretty hefty application, and I don't think it has any note taking facilities.

Most Linux distros that ship with the KDE Desktop include the open source application KNotes which is great for this.
