Civilization IV

Anyone got it? I just got it today (well I got it a few days ago, but I haven't had a chance to open the package until now).

Civilization IV is the first game I've bought, in years that comes with a large chart of tables with an amazing ammount of information and statistics - and a 224 page printed A5'ish manual!

Bloody awesome - feels like back in the good old Amiga / C64 days. I'm gonna buy antother copy just out of principle.

Yea i was also amazed when i bough Civilization II back in the day, to get the little booklet. I read it multiple times just for fun, and i still keep it in one of my drawers. It adds so much value to the game. Can't wait to get my hands on Civ4, Civ is the only game that was/is able to keep my attention for more than a few months.

Oh and because Civ4 is probably not going to appear here (in Serbia) for another month, if you buy an extra copy i could use it! hehe

Wouldnt expect someone like you to have patience to play civ :)

I consider a slow paced stratdegy title. Might be too slow for me though. Really interested in checking it out mind :)

I'm looking forward to getting Age of Empires III.

I finished AOE3, the campaign at least. Was a tad easy in medium mode, appart from a couple of places.

I guess its a lot like the old AOE games, so a little oldschool maybe. But the graphics are a nice addition, particularly with the little ragdoll effectsm and havok physics on destructible objects. Always nice when the cannonball bounces and hits people with ricochet :)

Good game, even if it doesn't feel all that new gameplay wise, still very enjoyable, and got me back into RTS games.

After making a commercial one pretty much from scratch in 6 months a couple of years ago, I couldn't bare to look at one until quite recently.

Civ3 had a pretty good manual, but I'm holding off buying Civ4 for a while, until I've "finished" Rome:Total War at least.

Bought it last night, having not played since Civ II it took a little while to get used to but I think Im going to get on just fine with this latest installment. Although I got age of mythology not too long ago, so if you need a faster pace then I will alternate between them.

I own the entire Civ III - Conquests and Play the World and all that. Civ IV looks very interesting - I need to get back in the habit of playing games. All I do on a computer now is just work and stuff. I own tons of games, even some old ones from the 90s, like SimCity 2000, Streets of SimCity, even SimTower. I haven't played a game in a while - the most recent real game I've played is SimCity 4, a couple months ago. And I've been playing Streets for a while, but it keeps crashing.

I love the RTS and turn-based genre - I own Empire Earth, Red Alert, Age of Mythology, Civ III, Roller Coaster Tycoon, three SimCity games (2000, 3000, and 4). I've always wanted to create an RTS, but never got around to it.

I'm still waiting on my copy, it apparently shipped on the 1st but still hasn't turned up.
