Who has Realm Crafter? I need info

I have a questions regarding the supplied animated characters - what are they - are they any good?

Some of this content includes sixteen fantasy style animated player characters, twelve monsters, and over twenty animals! Included in the package are over a hundred items and props and over forty weapons and armour models

I'd love to be able to see what the hell they are.

I'd potentially buy Realm Crafter just to get the models/characters.

The Realm Crafter site will sell ready made animated (100 animations), models and textures.

They've been saying that for a while - again, I'd buy the content packs even if I didn't own Realm Crafter.

SO, ANYONE GOT ANY INFO? PERHAPS, A SOME SCREENSHOTS OF THE MODELS THAT YOU GET?

I work for solstar and have been testing since day 1. There are 41 animated character models that come with the current version of Realmcrafter though that might change I know they are planning on adding alot more content.

Yeh, but why are they not showing them off?

I'd like to see some screenshots of these characters. I'd potentially buy Realm Crafter purely for the models - but I'm not handing over money without knowing what the models are.

They could at least post some assorted pictures on their website.

An obvious question would be 'what animations do these models have?' as well as 'what do they look like?'?

ooooh there's a version for sale. Yes some more information would be nice - but I suspect my purse is tied until after Christmas now, it's that time of year again and I can't afford to treat myself :(

Yeh, their site has a habit of lacking info.

They'd be taking a big risk if I buy it just to get the info I need.

We are putting up a section on our website where we can show what the characters look like and what animations come with them this week. We finally have someone to work on our websites for us and they have already started making some changes.
There are 16 player characters included: Male & female: Human, Elf, Dwarf, Gnome all without robes, and then the same with robes. The player characters have no hair or beards or armor as that is added in the game editor and by the player to customize the player character.
We also have around 20 animals and 12 monsters inlcuded as well as lots more content.
The monsters have 10 animations, the animals 8 animations and the player characters have 49 animations.

Aha, thanks for the info.

Yes - your website certainly needs some work - in the info/screenshot department.

Thanks for the info.

That would not be of much use. The models are encrypted and you can't (and are not allowed) to use them outside of RC

Well, I have been negotiating in IRC with the Realm Crafter people - looks like it would be possible for me to buy unencrypted ones.

To be honest, I am not making a game - I am more using them for test stuff. My own personal RPG hobby. So, I'd go as far as buying them even if they said I could never use them for a release/demo. This means nothing to me as I use media from commercial games too - it's all for my own little world.

I love pet projects Puki. If you want a partner in crime give me an e-mail pet RPG worlds are the most fun ever!

I think that is a missed opportunity, although I can understand the point in trying to make Realm Crafter unique. programming is my hobby and not WYSIWYG editors and so Realm Crafter isn't the product for me ... However, i'd still like to buy the models. As Puki here demonstrates, we're not unique.

Is this an opportunity to extend Realm Crafters income? Or is it going to compromise Realm Crafter itself? That's a question for you, but if you decide either way - let me know please ;)...

I'm positive that Solstar Games will sell media packs. But if they are RC compatible *only* I'm not sure. So we'll see what they plan on doing.

Add me to the list of people who would buy just the models...
