Voice Changers

Are there any decent (preferably free) voice changers out there? I have tried th AV Voice Changer but its a little pricey for what it is, $99 I think. Any other recommendations that will allow me to play around with speech in a more controlled manor than just speeding\slowing it.

Of course I need to be able to save the output.

Do you want a vocoder or something like that? Prosoniq do a fantastic one called "Orange Vocoder", there is also a great product called "AutoTune" - I think it's by Antares - it'll pitch a voice to anything you want. You will need a VST host application to run it, something like "Cubase" by Steinberg.

Xbox live works pretty well.

Large marbles in your mouth, always a good one.

Cylonix Vocoder, which can transform your voice into an old-style Cylon voice, and gives you a ton of other tweaks & mixes to generate different style robotic voices.
Works pretty well, although it does appear to be a little buggy. On my computer the voice sometimes cuts out and I have to stop/start the app before it will record anything again.

I don't think Antares Autotune is what you're looking for, it's main purpose is to make dodgy singers sound like they're in tune...

You didn't say whether you wanted a realtime one or not.

You can sometimes use the software that comes with soundcards to add cool reverb effects to mic input. You may find yourself having to record using duplex to hear the effect being recorded.
