New Revolution feature?
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/New Revolution feature?
I believe he has some prototypes or ideas about a new kind of console rather than a feature for Revolution.
or he's daydreaming.
I just bought my first gamecube + zelda windwaker... its got a 10/10 on the cover, but thats not my initial thoughts.
The shading is horrible on their faces.. have anyone else noticed that? half of their faces is covered in a brownish shadow.
anyway, I've just started, so I hope it picks up soon. The first "dungeon" was uninteresting enough. I for one, believe that zelda was much better as a 2D game, but ocarina of time was a fair approximation.

oh, so they're reinventing projectors now?
You're a ray of sunshine Ash.
.
Heh, the sailing great fun?
Not by the time you've completed it isn't, I hope you don't get sea sick AshMantle :)
Good game overall... if you erase 'the sea' and 'Tingle' from your memory that is.
Shigsy Miyamoto, the creative genius behind Mario, Zelda and some of the greatest games ever made, has confessed that he'd rather take his dog for a walk than sit down in front of a games console.
Shock! Horror! Do they think he's a videogame robot, or something.

I'm not a big fan of nintendo, but think the controler will be good in some games. One thing thats annoyed me recently in the media has been certain top Epic people voicing really stupid opinions and not realising they're making fools of themselves. Talk about bloated head disease.
Allthough I may agree on the development cost side of things.
http://gamesindustry.biz/news.php?aid=12577There was someone else from epic going on about developers getting a portion of used games sales a couple of weeks back too. hehe
I loved the sailing. And Tingle is my favourite game character of all time.

Dream on, Epic.
AshMantle: Windwaker is epic, quite hard on an early level then you get used to it. Great game, too hard for kids.
@EarthAngel: Oh sorry, you're not insane after all ;)
LMAO @ John :D
Yeh right, I believe you :P
Hated Tingle, loved the sailing though, the music that accompanied it never got old for me, the game world felt massive with it, even though there was rarely a big island that wasnt town/main-story related.
Anyhow, I'm with Nawi on the original subject, though I do feel Nintendo will actually release such a device as an optional peripheral for the system, I mean, you're not restricted to playing the system on just a TV with the thing, I myself plan to use it on my PC if it's possible to hook-it up to one.
with the projector the controler would make more sense. Only it might be a bit awkward to set up and calibrate.

I'm not lying at all. I'm a big Tingle fan.
There's a Tingle RPG coming out next year too.
Some interesting stuff in this thread! I think it's a bit silly for the Epic guy to be bashing others like that ... but it's fun to read ... makes good press. Everyone's entitled to their opinions and all that.
Wind Waker was a good game ... in some instances an amazing game but overall considering the respective times they were released Ocarina of Time was a much better game. Wind Waker is actually better if you play them back to back but it's more or less just a smoothed out version of Ocarina to me.
I can think of innovate Revolution feature! They should INVENT a joypad.
They already had many all others copied (remember SNES and N64 which brought new stuff Sony copied).
Beside that, I really like the idea of less buttons etc because its deadly hard to really master actual games just because its impossible to control R1 - R3 + L1 - L3 at the same time when you have to use both sticks and possible even other buttons as well.
OK I'm someone who plays games for fun not for "crazyness or coolness" ... its a hobby, not my job :-)
But perhaps Nintendo is thinking about a 360° projector or something similar ... with smog you could even use it as 3D holographic projector ... which is what he is aiming for in the very end :-)
