Egg timer?

I don't suppose any lcever person out there could create a realistic looking egg time complete with textures (it doesn't need or want the sand init).

Malice, nice one, made me laugh - anyway these are not going to be used as egg timers to boild eggs (though that could be a really cool game - boil some eggs and cook some bacon) I'm using them as 'time bombs' - a player gets near one of these and boom - it reduces the game time by 50%!


Guys all I need now is a cool looking bomb. Don't worry about the fuse as I'll use Particle Candy to render some nice flames...

And hour glass has nothing to do with timing an egg! Unless that egg were to take an hour to do something, in which case and "hourglass" could be used...

Why do "brits" (as you call yourselves) call and hourglass or "Sandglass" an eggtimer? And on top of that, what would you call an actual eggtimer (as tyler stated, a white "egg-like" shaped contraption used to determine when an egg is fully cooked (approximatly 3 min))?

Its because you used to get a 3 minute sandglass to time the boiling of your eggs, thus an egg timer.

Mechcanical timers in the shape of an egg are also called egg timers.

I have an hourglass designed for the sole purpose of timing eggs, hence, it's called an eggtimer! :)

I have a glass egg which i keep sand in. The yokes are down at the beach having a game of volleyball
