'Game Pack' section in 'Toolbox' section of bb.com

Now that game packs are starting to appear, and more seem to be on the way from more than one source, I vote there is a 'Game Pack' section in the 'Toolbox' section of the site.

This will enable the game packs to stay current and not get lost when a news item/thread is old. New Blitzers will be able to instantly find game pack media. It might also encourage more game packs to be developed.

Both "L_Draven" and "yertari" have produced packs and seem to be producing more.

seems like a reasonable idea.

/me pats puki on the head.

that will probably not happen since this site never gets any community enchacing updates...

maximo, is there a problem here? You seem bitter.

And if there was a problem how would you be able help me ;)

not bitter but I think BR could do a better job to support this community. Enhance the site beyong being able to change skins (which is of no real use) so community can thrive and progress to something bigger...

There are lots of things I could list here what specificaly to add, but it'f of no use since nobody will listen...

Perhaps it will happen one day, but not soon...

Agreed on the Game packs Idea. However it may be an idea to split that up into several sections; ie: model packs, sprite packs, sounds packs and music packs.

I'm not sure Aymes as many packs have various type of content on a theme rather than sticking to one medium of specialty, however having an archive of libraried media would be a good addition to having the existing archive of code. You can't make a game using one and not the other...

So two suggestions really: a public media archive just like the code archive, and an addition to the toolbox for commercial media packs. Maybe models and textures as separate categories?

Out of interest, does anyone know how you add something to the Toolbox section?

I raise this as I note that people who have had entries in there seem to be able to edit those entries.

EDIT:
In fact, I just spotted it.

a while ago I suggested having somewhere to list all recommended apps that are cool for making games and just general e.g. sound app, paint apps, anti-virus etc. It would be nice to list these in the toolbox under different categories.

It would also be useful to be able to add your name and a short description/link to portfolio, so artists, music people and freelance programmers could be found to help complete projects.
