Is anyone using a DVI interface to a LCD monitor? I am currently using a 15 pin (RGB) interface and was wondering if there was any advantages in switching over to DVI ??

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/DVI Interface It's a lot clearer. Well worth changing over. Make sure your graphics card has dvi out and the monitor dvi in. Ie... no DB15 to DVI conversion.
Huge difference in quality.
Also never run your LCD at anything but 1280x1024 or it's native resolution otherwise you'll get horrible staircasing.

Thanks for the info, both monitor and video card have a DVI interface.
As long as you have DVI on both sides, you'll get a much crisper image than when using standard DB15 VGA connections - You may have noticed your monitor doing an 'auto-adjust' when first doing a new screen screen resolution using VGA - those are because the monitor needs to analyze the analog signal, and adjust its timing and such to make sure everything locks on correctly.
While this gives OK results, it's still an aproximation of the signal that comes in rather than a 100% match that DVI will give you.

As a matter of fact it does do an auto-adjust when windows is booting, and the monitor is turned on for the first time. DVI it is.
I have a HDMI interface on my projector and DVI out on my graphics card, and the ATI card is inable to recognize the native 1280x720 resolution of the projector unless I use a standard VGA cable (monster cable).
On the other hand, my 5m monster cable gives me a superb image on my projector, so I've switched to it witout any noticable image quality loss.

Whooa - that's the ONLY way to do it if you have DVI at the both ends. Direct digital to digital has of course the best quality as opposed to converting digital to analog and then digital again. You'll lose a LOT of image quality that way, and even more so if your LCD monitor is a good one (because then you see the dfference more clearly).
Instead of getting a new computer this time I chose a bigger display. The DVI does make the image much sharper. ;)
