Nebula Wars

Quick little game I knocked up has some cool gfx effects. Not sure if I should use them for a screen saver or a game. See if you can destroy 500 intruders!

Curors or WASD move ship around, mouse turns and shoots.

I made it into the 200 range my first try.

Things I didn't care for:
-the streaking effect is cool but I lose track of my ship's position... frequently.
-objects poping up in th middle of the screen. It's obvious that if it pops up *on* your ship it doesn't collide but it's just too difficult to deal with them suddenly appearing 2 pixels away from the ship.
-the movement of the ship seems to accellerated. I had a lot of back and forth just to keep the ship where I wanted.

Thing I loved:
-the dual control system. Having the movement and targeting be seperate is just awesome. Brought me back to the days of "Abuse" http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/abuse/ I completely love this control scheme!
