About Blitz2D...

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/About Blitz2D...

As ppl here knows Blitz2D (or BlitzBasic as official name) has finished it's job and has new generation like B3D and B+, now with BlitzMax, the Blitz has even go further.

How about using B2D as way of promotional on Blitz, with a modified version(a end-splash or some license thing).

I paid for B2D and I think it's still powerful enough to be used making some game, BRL don't need to put free download, maybe enclose it in a magazine or Book?

Well which may not be a good idea but only some cents, B2D still beat most game languages and it's a pity to put it of with dust covered.....

I don't think BR have the rights to Blitzbasic classic. I think idigicon.com do.

This is just speculation however but I would not hold my breath. It makes better sense all round for them to push BlitzMax in every sense.

It reminds me the the things about Idigicon, I bought the boxed version from it.

Just stepped into BMax, there're some differences between Max and B3D, I teach my little brother using B2D and found B2D is capable for beginners.

Bury it for good I say. Anyone who wants my copy can have it for asking - if I can even still find it that is.

I'd actually like to get that, if you don't want it. It creates smaller EXE's, and I only use OpenGL, anyways.

It doesn't have userlib support.

Okay, nevermind then.

Well, that was good for a chuckle. =]

Anyways, yertari, I believe BlitzBasic has seen a release or two on coverdisc and the like... about the time Blitz3D was released I think.
