Fast Forums tonight!

Because there's lots of chatter when things go slow on the forums, I thought I'd just say "Hey!" because tonight things are FASTER than ever!

Thanks BR! It is a much more pleasant experience when you don't have to wait 15-25 seconds a page on a 2MB broadband line!

Just out of curiosity; how much bandwidth (transfer speed + data handling) does www.blitzbasic.com handle on an average day/week/month?

I don't post that much these days - maybe 3-5 posts in a day.

I think it's strange that all you broadband users are getting such slow access. I rarely have to wait over 5 seconds to load any page (except the home page, which has lots of pictures). The funny thing is that I am on dial-up and I'm getting it faster than dsl... :)

That last post took exactly 4 seconds to post and return to the general forums page. :)

Once the page starts to load it's usual fine (fast) - it's just that there's often a long wait, after clicking a link, before the page actually starts to load. Posting is often even worse - often having to wait several minutes before it uploads.

Nice try at making us broadbanders jealous of you dial-uppers though, John. :P

I'm on modem too with no slowdowns. It's all you broadband eaters! :)

I can remember the Internet in like 1995 when everything was fast without broadband, even on dial-up and the internet wasn't full of loonies, no pop up ads and spam was meat in a can.

I had a 14.4 then, woo!
