Maybe I'm way out of touch with "da kids" these days, but when I was young no self-respecting young lad in the playground would be seen dead (or admit to) liking games about little fluffy puppies.
They don't have to be on the playground, do they?
My experience says that 60% of them have a secret obsession with all things fluffy.
And I also don't think that many typical young girls care about handheld gaming
A few graphs that Nintendo showed off before releasing the Revolution controller should set your facts straight. The DS and Nintndogs sold excellently to small children, females, and people over 50.
Of course, these are just people who registered... but nobody has done statistics on how many people reister stuff, so meh.
I think that the only people who think this is a great idea are EDGE journalists and pretentious game snobs who think that anything non-mainstream and different is good.
And the millions of people who bought the game, and the thousands of people who showed up to get it signed by Mr. Miyamato, and IGN, and Gamespot, and all the other reviewers which exist who all gave the game a good rating, and Nintendo, and newspapers which occasionally mention the latest in interesting software, and people who
like to play games that are in the least bit different from the last one.Isn't "And" a stupid word?
I plan to buy Nintendogs eventually, to see what it's all about, but I think I'll wait until I can get it off a bargain rack -- I don't want to spend $60 so that I can look like a mentally handicapped person who talks to his game boy ;)
