i need cheap trees and shrubbery

does anyone know where i can get cheap trees and shrubbery besides at aliencodec (they're a bunch of con artists from what i've heard)? any help is appreciated.

Theres a version of TreeMagik that is free, i think. Thats for trees, dont know bout shrobbery.

Have you tried Homebase?

I think Becky was going to do some competitive product because their customer support sucked or something, maybe try bugging her =]

There are alternatives out there aside from getting a wandering King to make you a shrubbery and i'm sure you dont need to go as far as Castle Anthrax to find them - but there's no widely used alternative at this time.

Personally I model my shrubs or create them in code and I texture them using the Alien Codec textures, trees I tend to do in TreeMagik Pro although I often need to fix the meshes in a modeller before I can use them, so if they are indeed doing a free version of their software then it's only really the textures you need.

I'm sure a popular alternative will emerge in time.

Milkshape is cheap and it's a decent modeler. I've never used Blender, but that's free and I heard that it's good.

And... truspace 3.1 is free at www.caligari.com

or.. www.wings3d.com for ..um.. Wings 3D.

and Aliencodec have released A version of Treemagic for nowt as well...

Well, my holy hand grenade thread was fun while it lasted...

I think the grenade pic I posted went off by accident and blew-up the thread. :/

Milkshape has some weird issues with blitz, for instance I used an image with transparency for leaves, and when I loaded the tree into blitz where the leaves should have been transparent there was a hideous green dirty color similar to what you'd find behind Noel Cowers ears XD
